Soundproofing from adjacent room - wall spec:

  • 2 x 12.5mm2 plasterboard,
  • 70mm metal stud partition with rockwool insulation,
  • 2x12.5mm2 plasterboard,
  • 50mm gap,
  • 70mm metal stud partition with rockwool insulation,
  • 2x12.5mm dB-check plasterboard

i.e. total thickness 265mm
Suspended Ceiling - note 150mm insulation installed above.
